Yamaha of Japan and Kemble UK had been working together on various joint supply and distribution projects from as early as 1969 and started making pianos together at the Milton Keynes facility from about 1985, The Milton Keynes factory gradually grew to become the main producer of most of the Yamaha upright pianos sold in Europe, earning the Kemble-Yamaha group various industry and export awards,  up until production was moved to Indonesia in 2009.

This P116N was made at the Milton Keynes factory in 1992, it is a very good example of the high quality musical instruments that Yamaha have become famous for combined with a beautiful looking cabinet that the British manufacturers were so good at.
