Hitchin TV recorded a series called Haunted Hitchin reporting on some of Hitchins ghosts and paranormal activity. As you can see in the film I am personally sceptical of the existence of such phenomena in the building, having spent most of my life working here at all hours of the day and night and never once felt anything paranormal but at the same time I have no doubt many of my co workers have had genuine paranormal encounters. The Haunted Hitchin crew spent an evening in the shop in 2019. Again we can see the shop in its pre make over look. During the pandemic lock-down we took advantage of the empty showroom to give it a new coat of paint and some long overdue new carpets, a job that is very difficult to do when customers are about.
